Food Summit 2021

The Food Summit began five years ago as an event to amplify our local food pathways as a celebration of southern cuisine. We have since transformed to touch on many different aspects of our food system, with the development of institutional partners related to sustainability efforts, our publication ‘Active Culture,’ our advocacy-based instagram page @CUstoriesofhunger, our weekly volunteer engagements throughout the state, and more. We are continuously growing, evolving, learning, and discovering. We look forward to the virtual Food Summit this year as an opportunity to share a piece of our story with you, to include you in this story, and to leave this weekend with some action-items that will push all of us to continue advocating for food sovereignty, sustainability, and celebration for all.
